2nd March - Design for Cover, Contents and Double Page Spread

I have created my design for the cover, contents and double page spread using Microsoft Publisher - as I planned.
Here is my deign for the cover:
I want the masthead and cover lines on the left third to follow the codes and conventions of a magazine and to ensure customers will see the articles featured inside if it were to be stacked on a shelf. I want to include a banner to feature more insight into what the reader will find in the magazine.

Here is my design for the contents page:
I have used a similar design for the contents page as seen in magazines such as NME and some issues of Q. Below are an example of these:


Here is my design for the double page spread:

I have used the typical codes and conventions of a typical double page spread, with one page featuring a large image, with a pull quote, and the opposite page featuring an article. I wanted the right page to be the one to feature the image so that when a reader flicks through the magazine it will be eye catching and they will want to read the article.
