After experiencing difficulty using my friends as models during the production of my preliminary school magazine, I have decided to use my sister. This will allow me to tell her exactly what I need from her and I will be able to control exactly what I want her to look like (clothes, makeup, hair etc.)
I knew I would shoot the photos inside against a plain backdrop to replicate a photoshoot that may be done specifically for a music magazine article. Also, the plain backdrop would make editing the background easier.
I will do the model's hair and make up to echo the stye seen used by 'rock chicks'.
I may use props in the photoshoot, specifically a guitar. I have access to elctric and acoustic guitars, but I think an electric guitar will suit the image of my magazine best as they are associated mainly with rock, whereas acoustics are associated with indie music. I know that the guitar I have in mind is black and white which suits the clothes that I want my model to wear.
