After the advice I recieved last week from my focus group I altered my cover page and managed to finish it.
This week I completed my double page spread, however I created three versions as I wasn't 100% sure which photo would look more impressive. Therefore I asked some of the people involved in my focus group to vote which was best. Below are the three choices:

Some people in the focus group said that version 1 was good because the arm went across both pages. However, others thought it may look silly if it was just her arm on the other page and the montage of photos look quite random. Also, the editing of the hair looked slightly odd. All this I completely agreed with so I decided not to use this version.
The focus group said that the image featured in version 2 was better than version 1 because the editing looked more realistic and the photo itself looked more attractive. They said they liked the idea of the 'M' layered behind the text, however it looked slightly out of place. Also, the montage of the tree images looked unprofessional.
It was said that version 3 was the best version, according to the focus group. The block background for the text made it stand out better and the red outline highlighted the text. The montage of four images - rater than three - looked better as it covered the width of the page and looked more professional.
After the feedback it was clear to me that my focus group liked version 3 the best, which was my favourite too. Therefore I went ahead with that one and finished the double spread, apart from the article, which is what I planned according to my time plan. I was disappointed that I couldn't use the 'M' in the background as I like that idea, but I still think the text box in version 3 looks good.

This week I have also begun my contents page. When faced with this task I followed my design closely.
After more research I have discovered that there is currently a magazine with the name 'Rhapsody'. However I have already created the cover page and as the magazine is published in America rather than Britain I have decided to go ahead with the name. As my magazine isn't going to be published it doesn't infringe on copyright laws.
I am currently up to date according to my time plan!
